Tottenham had also been linked with Iliman Ndiaye.

MANCHESTER CITY HAVE agreed to sign Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deal worth £65 million (€75.89 million), according to reports on Monday.

City will pay an initial £60 million (€70.05 million), with a potential further £5 million (€5.84 million) in add-on clauses.

Tottenham had also been linked with Ndiaye, but City appear to have won the race for the 26-year-old’s signature.

City’s interest in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo was scuppered when the Reds refused to sanction a sale late in the transfer window without first securing a replacement.

That led City to turn their attention to Ndiaye, who is expected to undergo a medical with a view to completing his move before Tuesday’s 2200 GMT transfer deadline.

Ndiaye, who joined Everton from Marseille for £15 million (€17.51 million) two years ago, scored six goals for David Moyes’s side last season.

City’s imminent swoop for Ndiaye comes after they completed the £34.2 million (€39.93 million) signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras on Monday.

Ndiaye would be City’s fourth major signing since the end of last season after the arrivals of Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi and Allan.

There could still be further additions at the Etihad Stadium.

City’s former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is reportedly keen on a reunion with Blues midfielder Enzo Fernández, who has been left out of the west Londoners’ last two matches.

After missing out on Ndiaye, Tottenham are believed to be in talks to sign Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk on a season-long loan.

Tottenham striker Richarlison is braced to rejoin Everton despite warning that “never again will anyone decide my future”.

Everton are in talks with Tottenham over a potential deal to bring the Brazil international back to Merseyside.

Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi claimed on Saturday that Richarlison had been left out of the squad for the 2-0 loss against Newcastle because “too many times he asked to leave”.

But Richarlison took to Instagram on Monday to portray an entirely different version of events ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

In a remarkable outburst, Richarlison said: “After everything I’ve been through in the last few years, I’ve decided that never again will anyone decide my future for me.

“I went through a lot of bad things, and almost all of them happened because decisions were made by other people. Pressure, threats, retaliation – none of that scares me. I’ve been through far worse, believe me.

“I’ve always made it clear, every time I had the chance, that leaving for another club would only happen if it was also good for the club. If it wasn’t, I would never accept it. Just like I didn’t accept it when everything was going badly and they needed me.

“I stayed and gave everything. So, I hope they treat my situation with the same respect I’ve always shown Spurs and everyone who worked with me during this period. Just don’t try to decide for me.”

Richarlison insisted he would be happy to rejoin Everton, where he played from 2018 to 2022.

The 29-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Tottenham since his move to north London four years ago.

“If they reach an agreement between Spurs and Everton, I will return to my beloved club. My intention was to go back to the place where I was very happy, yes, but the negotiations happened only in the way certain people wanted, and it will no longer be like that,” he said.

“Despite all this turmoil, I am under contract at Spurs and will remain at the club’s disposal.”

Richarlison, who has been candid in the past about his mental health struggles, scored 12 goals during the 2025-26 campaign as Tottenham narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Colombian right-back Daniel Muñoz will be reunited with manager Oliver Glasner at Nottingham Forest after completing a move from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

No fee has been disclosed, but the BBC said Forest had spent around £22 million (€25.7m) to sign Muñoz on a three-year deal.

He joined Palace in January 2024 and, under Glasner, helped them win the FA Cup — the first major trophy in the club’s history — as well as the Community Shield in 2025 and the Europa Conference League in May.

Muñoz made 46 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring four goals in 29 Premier League games.

“The first thing is that this is a winning club,” said Muñoz.

“I think that when this is the expectation, the mentality, both for the management and the technical team, and for the players, this makes it special.

“I think that Oliver Glasner is special, I have a very good relationship with him and we did big things together, it was an incredibly special period. What he did with our previous club, I have a lot of respect and a lot of admiration for him.”

Forest are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season following a 1-0 loss to Leeds and a 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Finally, former France and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has left Al Hilal just under eight months after joining the Saudi club.

“Al Hilal Club Company and French player Karim Benzema have mutually agreed to terminate their contractual relationship, bringing his time with Al Hilal’s first football team to an end,” wrote the club on their website on Monday.

“Al Hilal Club Company expressed its appreciation for Benzema’s contributions during his time with the team, as well as the professionalism, commitment, and leadership he demonstrated both on and off the pitch,” said the statement.

Benzema thanked the club on social media.

“A chapter comes to an end,” he posted.

The former Ballon d’Or winner moved to Saudi Arabia from Real Madrid in 2023, joining Al Ittihad and leading the Jeddah club to a Saudi Pro League title in 2025.

After a dispute over a contract extension in late January he moved to Al Hilal in Riyadh for the rest of the season.

He had one year left on his contract, but has a deal until 2030 as an “ambassador” for Saudi tourism and the 2034 World Cup.

The announcement that the 38-year-old was leaving came the day after Al Hilal signed 30-year-old England centre forward Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa for a reported £50 million (€58.38 million) .

Spanish sports daily AS reported that Benzema had no intention of retiring and had offers from the American MLS and other Saudi clubs.

Al Hilal wished Benzema “every success in the next chapter of his career”.
